Refreshing Lemon Sherbert – A Healthy Kids Juice
This delicious, healthy kids juice, puts a spring in their step.
Cool off the kids on a hot summers day, easy and fast!
2 x Red Apples
Scrub lemons and Apples.
Chop into little chunks.
Put through juicer.
Pour into pretty glass and add Ice.
Tip. Freshly squeezed fruit juice is healthy for kids, packed with vitamins & nutrients; but a juice lacks the fibre of a piece of fruit eaten whole. Try to stick mostly to drinking only vegetable juice and save the fruit for eating or smoothies – but once a week a delicious juice is a worthy treat and it sure beats packaged treats

Some of the nutritional benefits of lemons eaten or juiced with the skin left on is they are a good source of Thiamin, Riboflavin, Pantothenic Acid, Iron and Magnesium, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber (eaten whole), Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, Calcium, Potassium and Copper.
The Apple is a good source of Dietary Fiber (eaten whole) and Vitamin C. It is very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. Because it has a lot of natural sugars it is best not to go too crazy on Apple Juice.
